The role we are filling:

SMART is looking for an HR Business Partner to be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives to drive organizational success.  As a partner to senior leadership on a myriad of HR-related issues, the HRBP will provide expertise in areas such as talent management, employee engagement, organizational development, and workforce planning.  The successful incumbent will work closely with the wider HR Team to align to and support the development of HR strategies.

  

The key responsibilities of the HRBP, International will include:

·         Strategic HR Planning: Collaborate with Senior Leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support the organizational goals and objectives.  This includes workforce planning, succession planning and talent acquisition strategies.

·         Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to Managers and employees, providing guidance and support on employee relation matters, conflict resolution, performance management and disciplinary actions.

·         Talent Management: Lead initiatives related to talent development, performance management and employee engagement.  Identify high-potential employees and implement development programs to foster their growth and retention.

·         Organizational Development: Drive initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and culture.  This may include change management, leadership development, companywide development activities, wellbeing and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.

·         HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.  Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry best practices.

·         HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR data and analytics to assess organizational trends, identify areas for improvement and make data-drive recommendations to enhance HR programs and processes.

·         Collaboration and Communication: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including your fellow HR Team, Leaders, Managers and employees.  Communicate HR initiatives effectively and solicit feedback to drive continuous improvement.

You Have:

·         Relevant qualifications in HR, Business or related field.  A CPHR / CHRP  qualification is preferred.

·         3 + years experience in an HR Business Partner role

·         Several years of progressive HR experience in a multi country environment.,

·         Demonstrable experience in navigating employment laws and regulations

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Proven ability to influence and build rapport with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

·         Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred but not essential) and proficiency in using HR analytics to aid decision making.

Additional Details:

·         Hybrid-based combination of both off and home-based role (minimum 3 days in our downtown office).

·         Role is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
